War

You know it’s war outside?

People yelling,
Marching,
Fighting
Shedding blood,
Shooting,
Throwing bombs,
Digging trenches.

Only,
I don’t care.
I’m not interested.

Not in the flags,
Not in the noise,
Not in the dying.

I’m only interested in you.
Right now.
Right here.

Because out there,
it’s not just bullets and borders.

It’s headlines.
It’s timelines.
It’s friend against friend,
truth against truth,
power dressed up as progress.

Out there,
Every sentence is a weapon.
Every silence, a side.

They swear allegiance
to the loudest voices.
They burn bridges
just to feel warm.

And still,
I’m not interested.

Not in the scrolling,
Not in the shouting,
Not in their need to win.

I’m only interested in you.

So take this moment.
Take me,
while the world is burning.

Because whatever this is,
it might not last long.
